What is a Global Product Integrity Manager?

A global product integrity manager oversees the process of creating products from ideation to distribution, often for multiple products at a time. Another name for this title is operations leader. Additionally, they supervise demand and supply planning, distribution, customs, etc. Product Integrity is all about following through on promises to consumers. For example, this may include ensuring quality, compliance, environmental impact, product safety, etc. The power of product integrity comes from building consumer trust in your company. On a global scale, this also means strategizing and communicating with those working in other parts of the world. In the Corporate Minority interview with Ebube Agu, he specifically mentions that one important job for this position is crisis management. Having the ability to strategize and problem solve on a time crunch is a vital part of the role.

Qualifications Required to Be a Global Product Integrity Manager

While the most common requirements are a bachelor’s degree in a related field, it’s not always required. Some have started out as an operations assistant and worked their way up to their desired position. When it comes to advancement up the corporate ladder, experience is key. Hiring managers tend to value real experience in a related field when it comes to filling roles.
