We caught up with an environmental compliance manager of a leading freight company, Emy Odunze. In this interview, he discusses career insights that will help enter the environmental compliance field. If you love science and don’t want to be in the medical field, this is probably a good career to look into.

Emy graduate from the University of California Riverside with an environmental science degree. He has been in the environmental compliance field for over 9 years. Emy has worked both internally for corporations and also worked as a consultant to major organizations including BP, Kaiser, Shell and much more. In addition, Emy has created several training programs and curriculums. These plans include but are not limited to stormwater plans, designated operator programs, SPCC plan training and much more.

Careers in this field range from being an environmental compliance lawyer to an engineer. Becoming an environmental compliance manager was something he stumbled upon, but it has turned out to be a career he loves. As a result of being in this field, he’s been able to grow professionally and financially. He’s certainly a good resource for those interested in this field.
